Transformation

Friday, October 10th, 2008

Hello All,

I want to start this blog by telling everyone a little about my fitness background.  I have personal trained for about 10 years.  I have a certification in personal training, nutrition, group fitness as well as a degree in Business Management and Recreation Administration.  I have always strived toward the idea of getting the whole world in shape!  Ignorant people will say drugs got me where I am but those who have worked out with me knows hard work and training has got me to the level I’m at.  I’ve studied fitness for years and I think I have a lot of knowledge to give to anyone who wants to listen.

Recently a good friend/old college buddy contacted me about working with my nutrition company and asked for my help.  His name is Jaston Miller and he was a linebacker for my old college football team. Go Vikings…….!  This guy, while in college was the epitome of fitness while playing football and was an animal in the gym.  Since leaving college Jaston had two beautiful daughters entered corporate America and his fitness was put on the back burner.  Jaston gained a considerable amount of weight and his diets has gotten worse over the years. Ladies and gentlemen high body fat and a poor diet will lead to health problems!  This is a problem so many people have.

So many people have pictures of how they “use to look”.  Jaston is one of these people however we live in the present.  Let’s look good now!  Jaston’s problems are real and are causing problems in his current life.  Jaston will go through a change over the next few months.  He will document his transformation through blogs on lashleynutrition.com.  I Bobby Lashley will put my good friend through a program of diet and exercise and will document it online.  We have already taken before picture and started the first phase of his program.

I believe before going into training full force you should cleanse your body.  A cleanse will help rid the body of toxins and waste while improving digestion which will help support healthy weight loss.   I have put Jaston on Advocare’s Herbal Cleanse. Cleansing the body is like giving your car an oil change.  Corrosion builds up in the intestines over time, which causes poor absorption of vitamins and/or supplements.  If you want your body to work to the best of it’s ability “cleanse it!!!” https://www.advocare.com/02078926/Store/ItemDetail.aspx?itemCode=W3171&id=D&flavor=C

Since Jaston hasn’t been on a training program in years he will only be doing a short strength training program consisting of core training, cardio and some lift in which we will document in the next blog. Stay Tuned!!!!

Reward Your Muscles

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

You just completed your hardest training session of the week. You head out of the gym, already drooling over your next meal…which you assume you’ll be having in about three or four hours.

Whether you were training to build muscle, gain mass or lose weight, waiting until your next big meal to eat can completely sabatoge your efforts.

When you train, your muscles are working over-time; you went from sleeping to running, from sitting at a desk all day to pumping iron, from keeping house to jumping around to a cardio video. Your muscles worked hard when you asked them to! They expended more energy than they were prepared for…and you need to reward them. (more…)
